Schertz Came Up Big in Fairland's 55-6 Win
Starting off the list is Fairland's Carson Schertz, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Schertz threw for 366 yards and four touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns. He has become a key player for Fairland: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.
Fairland's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4. Schertz and Fairland will challenge Hominy on Thursday.

Another Game with at Least Three Passing Touchdowns from Trey Bennett
Trey Bennett produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Woodland to the win on Friday. Bennett threw for 190 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 40 yards and two touchdowns. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Woodland's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Bennett and Woodland will challenge Afton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Trey'von Shine Has Career-Day on Friday
Porter was led to victory by Trey'Von Shine, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Shine rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 88 yards.
Porter's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. They and Ketchum are set to duel on Thursday.
