The Delta Panthers stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 61-10 win over Rifle on the road. The win was familiar territory for Delta who now have eight in a row.
Delta got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylor Somers out in front who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Somers is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Breezy Huff was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Delta's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Rifle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delta will take on Moffat County at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rifle, they will head out on the road to face off against Coal Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Coal Ridge is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
