Hamilton Heights' pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Tipton 12-0. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Lily Cash made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Hailey Hall was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Heather Crays was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lawrence Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Columbus East on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since May 15, 2024.
The team relied heavily on Eliana Luter, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Hamilton Heights pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Lawrence Central, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.
Hamilton Heights skirted past Lawrence Central 1-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
