Flowers had lost four straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 1-9 to make it five. They came up short against the Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders, falling 12-6. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Marcus Richardson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Richardson is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Ryan Tann was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one double.
As for Eleanor Roosevelt, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The result was nothing new for Eleanor Roosevelt, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
On Eleanor Roosevelt's side, Jacob Maitland made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Maitland was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other pitching news, Kaden Watkins-Fleisher tossed a big game, striking out 12 batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
Back at the plate, Eleanor Roosevelt got a massive performance out of Troy White, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave White a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhys Coxen, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Flowers will take on rival Parkdale on Friday. Meanwhile, Eleanor Roosevelt is set to face off against their familiar foe Laurel at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
