Red Springs is 0-9 against Whiteville since March of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Red Devils will look to defend their home field against the Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. Red Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Red Springs turned things around against Seventy-First on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 17-6 margin over the Falcons. The Red Devils not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 10th (when they won 17-0).

Jacoby Lowery was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has become a key player for Red Springs: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-9 otherwise. Lowery was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Red Springs got a massive performance out of Terry Locklear, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Locklear has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Taquan TJ Ellerbe, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double.
Red Springs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 4-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Whiteville posted their closest win since May 6, 2025 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Fairmont, sneaking past 5-4.
Red Springs' victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Whiteville, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
Red Springs might still be hurting after the 12-0 defeat they got from Whiteville when the teams last played back in June of 2021. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
