It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the King Wolves can now relate to. They took a hard 66-51 fall against the Lancers on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, King can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while Thousand Oaks is ranked 50th).
When it comes to explaining why King lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mathias Tinker. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Donovan Holloway was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
King has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-20 record this season. As for Thousand Oaks, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.
King does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Thousand Oaks also has no future games currently scheduled.
