The Gila Bend Gila Monsters will head out on the road to take on the Harvest Prep Academy Eagle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Gila Bend is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Harvest Prep Academy in Arizona (Gila Bend is ranked 90th, while Harvest Prep Academy is ranked 309th).
Gila Bend unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were the victim of a rough 52-31 defeat at the hands of A+ Charter School. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Gila Bend has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Harvest Prep Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 73-57 win over Skyview. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Leo Cordova continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 35 points and 4 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathon Armas, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Gila Bend's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2. As for Harvest Prep Academy, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5.
