Crossroads Christian hadn't done well against Cape Fear Christian Academy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday.  Cody Paschall was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. Those  four  hits gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Easton Smith, who  scored four  runs and  stole a base while going 5-for-5.

Crossroads Christian has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Cape Fear Christian Academy, their loss  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 8-7.
 Looking ahead, Crossroads Christian will take on Vance County at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Colts are facing the Vipers at the right time seeing as the Vipers are stuck on  a  15-game losing streak. Cape Fear Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
