Softball Recap: Mize Has No Trouble Against Richton

Mize won the last time they faced Richton and things went their way on Tuesday too. Mize blew past Richton 13-1. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won eight contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Marissa Reyes was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Mize got a massive performance out of Lizanna Waters, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. That's the most hits Waters has posted since back in March of 2024. AK Easterling was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.

Mize's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Richton, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-6 record.

Mize will have a chance to go back-to-back against Richton: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
