The Kokomo Wildkats will head out on the road to face off against the Ben Davis Giants at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Kokomo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.
Kokomo barely beat Maconaquah the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildkats were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Braves on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Wildkats in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won eight in a row.

Emma Lees was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kinley Martin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ben Davis). They put the hurt on Pike with a sharp 22-4 victory on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Like Kokomo, Ben Davis also got a great game from a two-way player: Brooklynn Chambers. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Chambers was also big at the plate, scoring four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Mariana Lopez was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, five RBI, and three runs. Those runs were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ashlynn Chambers, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Ben Davis hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pike struck out eight times.
The victory made it two in a row for Ben Davis and bumps their season record up to 3-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Kokomo, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.
