Hanover-Horton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being JJ Russ, who scored eight points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Russ grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Luke Soper, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds.
Jonesville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Hanover-Horton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jonesville will square off against East Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Jackson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 574th, while Jonesville is ranked 211th). As for Hanover-Horton, they will head out on the road to take on Manchester at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Manchester is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
