Elyria scaled the state rankings by moving to 74 from 102 this week, the biggest jump in Northeast Ohio - River. The Pioneers were able to move up by beating Shaker Heights 14-8.
North Royalton lost to Mayfield 31-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jack Marousek threw for 174 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 35 yards in the defeat.
North Royalton's dynamic duo of Marousek and Joey Davidson proved tough for the Wildcats to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Henry Meinberg helped North Royalton's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 50 yards.
Elyria's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Pioneers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hunter Parsh has thrown for 1,562 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Tavon Kurtz has 30 catches for 522 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Stow-Munroe Falls takes on second place Elyria. Stow-Munroe Falls defeated Medina last week, while Elyria topped the Red Raiders.

Jordan Connell of the Elyria is just 59 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 150 carries Connell has put up 941 yards this year.
