The Indian Land Warriors had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 43-29 win over Northwestern. That's another feather in the cap for Indian Land, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Indian Land got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaitlyn Knoll out in front who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and six steals. Knoll hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Skylar Young was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Even though they lost, Northwestern smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indian Land only pulled down eight offensive rebounds.
Indian Land's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-13. As for Northwestern, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.
Indian Land will head out on the road to challenge the Stallions at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. South Pointe is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 19 games. As for Northwestern, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. York comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
