It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-49, which was the final score in Pittsfield-Griggsville-Perry's tilt against Athens last Friday. Pittsfield-Griggsville-Perry were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-42.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 54 points the game before, PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central faltered in their match last Friday. They took a serious blow against Maroa-Forsyth, falling 0-41. PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central were down by 0-34 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Hopefully the teams can find a way to make up for their last outings by putting some points on the board this time.
