Wright will head out on the road to face off against the Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy Tigers on Friday. Wright is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Thursday just wasn't the day for Wright's offense. They were dealt a 56-0 defeat at the hands of Kennedy. While losing is never fun, Wright can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Kennedy is ranked 56th).
Meanwhile, Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy beat Haynes Academy 27-14 on Friday. The victory was just what Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy needed coming off of a 51-0 loss in their prior game.
Kennedy's win bumped their season record to 9-1 while Wright's loss dropped theirs to 5-5.
Wright ended up a good deal behind Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy in their previous matchup back in October, losing 34-20. Can Wright avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
