Owyhee came tearing into Friday's matchup with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the McDermitt Bulldogs 74-37. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-20.
Owyhee got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Misty Thomas out in front who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards. Owyhee's record now sits at 15-1. As for McDermitt, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.
Looking ahead, Owyhee will be playing in front of their home fans against Lund at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for McDermitt, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-19 win against Carlin on the 31st.
