The Neshannock Lancers will venture away from home to  challenge the Shenango Wildcats  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Neshannock was handed a heart-breaking two-run  loss in their last  game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Union Area  on Saturday. The Lancers blew past the Scotties 16-10. The  win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Scotties: they've now won six in a row.
Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when Shenango duked it out with New Brighton on Tuesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by  a  14-7 margin over the Lions. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their two-run performance the  contest before.
 Joey Campoli was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with four  RBI and two  runs.  Sam Patton also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
 Shenango  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Brighton struck out ten times.
 Shenango pushed their record up to 8-2 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Neshannock, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
 Neshannock came out on top in a nail-biter against Shenango in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024, sneaking past  6-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
