The Wellsville Tigers posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They really took it to Leetonia for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-31 victory at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wellsville.
Leetonia's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson Brock, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Wellsville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Leetonia, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
Wellsville will head out on the road to take on Toronto at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Leetonia won't have much time to rest: their next game is against McKinley at 1:00 p.m. on January 13th. McKinley is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
