Basketball Recap: Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue Beats Archbishop Spalding for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue won against Our Lady of Mount Carmel last Saturday with 58 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue Warriors walked away with a 58-48 win over the Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers. The victory was just business as usual for the Warriors, who after five games remain undefeated this season.

Archbishop Spalding lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Eden Berry, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Trinity Holloway, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Archbishop Spalding, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-50 loss against Rosedale Christian Academy on the 9th. As for Archbishop Spalding, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-41 defeat against St. Mary's on the 11th.
