The York Falcons fell victim to the Grafton Clippers''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Clippers 45-0. York was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Grafton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Grafton found their leader in underclassman Makale Barnett, who rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also picked up 46 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Bryant, who threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes.
This is the second loss in a row for York and nudges their season record down to 3-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 0.0 points per game. As for Grafton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.
York does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Grafton will look to defend their home field on Friday against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. Heritage is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
