Basketball Recap: HOPE Academy Piles Up the Points Against the Fletcher School

HOPE Academy won the last time they faced The Fletcher School and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Royals breezed past the Falcons to the tune of 55-26. With the Royals ahead 35-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

HOPE Academy found their leader in sophomore Eli Budgick, who posted 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zane Yule, who put up 11 points.

The victory got HOPE Academy back to even at 1-1. As for The Fletcher School, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. HOPE Academy will challenge Union Day at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for The Fletcher School, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Weddington Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 4.
