The Albuquerque HomeSchool Saints entered their tilt with Varsity Opponent with four consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with five. Albuquerque HomeSchool snuck past Varsity Opponent with a  54-48 win on Wednesday. Albuquerque HomeSchool's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
 Albuquerque HomeSchool had a senior duo take command as  Brody A  scored 20 points and  Justyn V  scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  A has scored all season.  Ethan H was another key contributor,  scoring nine points.
 Albuquerque HomeSchool pushed their record up to 5-1 with that  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 383-1397-2 Varsity Opponent and 382-1392-2 Varsity Opponent (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 16.2% over those games). As for Varsity Opponent, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost 16 of their last 17 games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 383-1397-2 record this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albuquerque HomeSchool will  square off against Albuquerque Talent Development at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Varsity Opponent, they won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Solid Rock Christian School on February 8th. Solid Rock Christian School is facing Varsity Opponent at the right time seeing as Varsity Opponent is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
