Volleyball Recap: Blackman Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Blackman had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Page Patriots. That's more bragging rights for the Blaze, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Molly Teague paced Blackman's offense, picking up 12 kills. Teague got some help from Jordan Krise and her 20 assists. Layla Thomas controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

When it comes to explaining why Page lost, don't look at Hannah Rider. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and two assists. Rider is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Blackman's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Page, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 14-8 record.

Blackman has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Riverdale on the 23rd. As for Page, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Franklin on the 23rd.
