Putnam scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Wilsonville, 28-26. At the time, the Wildcats were ranked 24th in the state, while the Kingsmen were 107th.
Wilsonville's Derek Sunkle recorded the longest rushing play in 5A Northwest Oregon this season in his game against Putnam last week. Sunkle ran for 73 yards on the play and finished with 208 on the day as his team fell to the Kingsmen.
Kevin Larkin put up the best numbers in passing as Sherwood defeated St. Helens. He finished with a total of 7 completions for 123 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Jake Reimer was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Bowmen bested the Lions. The 5-foot-11 senior.
He was 7-12 with 0 interception.
Brandon Chao was the best receiver in the league this week as the Wildcats lost to Putnam. Chao tallied 2 receptions for 66 yards. Parker Nielsen helped Wilsonville's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 46 yards.
Sunkle was the best running back in the league this week. Collin Etcheberry also contributed to the rushing game with 18 yards on the ground.

St. Helens' Gage Bumgardner and Justin Helgerson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 5A Northwest Oregon in both passing and receiving yards. Bumgardner has thrown for 447 yards this season, while Helgerson, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 11 catches for 123 yards. Sunkle from the Wildcats leads the league in rushing with 794 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Sherwood takes on Liberty. As it stands, Greg Lawrence's team is in first, while the Falcons are in fifth.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, the Bowmen beat Jared Phillips' team 54-13,. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
