On Friday, things could have been worse for Southview Christian, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 48-33 loss to Millers Creek Christian.
Cam Layaou was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds for Millers Creek Christian. That makes it four consecutive games in which Layaou has scored at least a third of Millers Creek Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Corban Huffman, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Southview Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Millers Creek Christian, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3.
Southview Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face New Manna Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for Millers Creek Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Victory Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. Victory Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
