The Community Vikings/Viqueens can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Cascade by a score of 51-40. That's another feather in the cap for Community, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Community to victory were Alyssa White and Anna Haskins. White scored 13 points along with nine rebounds, while Haskins scored 19 points. White continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Yoes, who scored six points.
Community's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Cascade, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Community will face off against Mt. Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cascade, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eagleville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eagleville is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
