The Dow Chargers will take on the Beal City Aggies at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Dow let Garber stack five runs on them in the seventh inning on Wednesday but luckily Dow prevailed anyway. The Chargers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Dukes. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chargers have posted since May 17, 2025.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Beal City). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Roscommon a 25-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Aggies, who have now won seven games in a row.
Dakota Dodak made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in May of 2025. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three runs and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Arryana Brown, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Madason Fisher, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
Beal City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Beal City's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Dow, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7-1.
