The Clopton Hawks pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 70-56 to Van-Far. Clopton has not had much luck with Van-Far recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Nikos Connaway continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Van-Far, scoring 30 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Pacey Reading, who scored 17 points.
Clopton's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-6. As for Van-Far, they pushed their record up to 19-5 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
Clopton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Van-Far, they will head out on the road to square off against Wright City at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Van-Far focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday.
