Niles barely beat Kalamazoo Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings blew past the Maroon Giants 11-4 on Saturday. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by six runs or more this season.

Niles pushed their record up to 21-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Kalamazoo Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-18.

Coming up, Kalamazoo Central will take on Williamston in a tournament on Saturday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Maroon Giants' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Niles will be paying especially close attention to Kalamazoo Central's game: after Kalamazoo Central faces off against Williamston, they'll take on Niles again at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
