New Dimensions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Faith Christian Lions at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, New Dimensions was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to the Hornets. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for New Dimensions in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now lost three in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jeriel Martinez, who scored 26 points. He hasn't dropped below 17 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Ace Gorsline, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Faith Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 70-62 to Harmony. While losing is never fun, Faith Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while the Longhorns are ranked 89th).
New Dimensions' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7. As for Faith Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 14-10.
