The Waynesburg Central Raiders lost to the Charleroi Cougars back in October of 2022, but The Waynesburg Central Raiders didn't allow the Charleroi Cougars the same satisfaction on Friday. Waynesburg Central enjoyed a cozy 45-27 win over Charleroi. Waynesburg Central pushed the score to 42-20 by the end of the third, a deficit Charleroi cut but never quite recovered from.
Breydon Woods got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 270 yards while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. Ross Tennant and his 92 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Waynesburg Central's victory.
Waynesburg Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Charleroi, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Waynesburg Central will head out on the road to face off against Imani Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Imani Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Charleroi does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
