The Will Rogers College Ropers will head out on the road to face off against the Durant Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Will Rogers College focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Will Rogers College was able to grind out a solid victory over McAlester, taking the game 63-52. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Will Rogers College.
Will Rogers College found their leader in underclassman Branden Crosslen, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Crosslen has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nehemiah Rhodes, who scored six points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Durant's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Memorial. Durant has not had much luck with Memorial recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Will Rogers College has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-13 record this season. As for Durant, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-17.
Will Rogers College beat Durant 61-53 when the teams last played on Saturday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Will Rogers College since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
