Basketball Recap: Williston-Elko Beats Barnwell for Their Fourth Straight Win

Williston-Elko had won three straight games and Shanya Mays did her part to make it four on Wednesday. The Blue Devils came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 50-44 W against the Barnwell Warhorses with plenty of help from Mays, who went 13-for-15 on her way to 30 points and five rebounds. The contest was her third in a row with at least 19 points.

Williston-Elko's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Barnwell, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Williston-Elko will venture away from home to challenge Ridge Spring-Monetta at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Barnwell, they will be home for the holidays to greet Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
