The West Haven Blue Devils had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed by Prince RVT on the road to the tune of 81-45. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Haven also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Despite the defeat, Prince RVT had strong showings from Jordan Iverson, who scored 13 points, and Nate Baker, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
West Haven's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0. As for Prince RVT, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Haven will face off against Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Prince RVT, they will head out on the road to face off against Grasso Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Grasso Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Friday.
