Volleyball Recap: Sahuaro Has No Trouble Against Poston Butte + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Sahuaro, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past the Poston Butte Broncos 3-0 on Wednesday. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Cougars this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 26-24.

Alexia Gould paced Sahuaro's offense, picking up 12 kills. Gould got some help from Zoeeann Plotts and her ten assists. Plotts also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Delarenta Ochoa, racking up three apiece.

Despite the loss, Poston Butte still got an impressive performance from Milana Thiel, who had 18 digs and three assists. Hailey Hardison also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Sahuaro is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season. As for Poston Butte, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Sahuaro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Pueblo on the 4th. As for Poston Butte, they will welcome Desert Sunrise at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
