Puyallup is 9-1 against Rogers since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Vikings will challenge the Rams at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Puyallup's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Fife with a sharp 10-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won four in a row.

Kiera Thomas was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other pitching news, Kelsey Brown looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Kayla Ringenbach, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Paisley Jamison also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.
Puyallup always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Rogers entered their tilt with Bethel on Monday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over the Bison. Considering the Rams have won five games by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Sierra Murray made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Murray was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Kelsey Vernon was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Madison Adiar, who scored four runs while going 3-for-3.
Rogers' win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.4 runs this season. As for Puyallup, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Puyallup's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's match. The Vikings have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Rogers, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Puyallup continue to outrun the ball?
Puyallup beat Rogers 6-3 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
