The Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Carolina Academy at home to the tune of 70-26. The win was familiar territory for Blue Ridge who now have three in a row.
Blue Ridge was led to victory by Anyah Henderson and Zikira henderson. Henderson scored 20 points along with nine steals and six assists, while henderson scored 24 points along with seven steals and six assists. Henderson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Helena danielle Earley was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Carolina Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Blue Ridge racked up 16 assists.
Blue Ridge pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Carolina Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Coincidentally, Blue Ridge and Carolina Academy will both be playing Broome the next time they take the court. Blue Ridge will head out to face Broome at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Carolina Academy will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
