Make it six blowout wins for the Plateau Valley Cowboys this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Rangely 82-33 on the road. Plateau Valley's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Plateau Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jack Vig, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. Vig continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Morse, who scored 17 points along with eight steals.
The win (which was Plateau Valley's eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Rangely, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plateau Valley will take on Hayden at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rangely, they will be playing at home against Caprock Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Caprock Academy is ranked 265th, while Rangely is ranked 277th).
