Blake Edwards and a touchdown.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, LHS led 38-6 at the half.
The Cardinals expanded their lead to 33 points entering the fourth quarter. Lawson scored once in the quarter on a
Ty Cox touchdown run.
LHS's standout player in the win was Edwards. The senior quarterback ran for one touchdown.
Coming into the game the Cardinals had allowed 18.8 points per game this year.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 42-14 win for Lawson.
The victory was a step in the right direction for LHS, which was coming off a 26-21 defeat at the hands of Lathrop in its previous game. The defeat comes as a step back for East Buchanan, which notched a 8-0 victory over Mid-Buchanan in its previous outing. The loss snapped the Bulldogs' 3-game winning streak.
In a KCI game next week Lawson (4-2) takes on Penney, and East Buchanan (4-2) will go up against North Platte also in a KCI game.
