Florence put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Apache Junction Prospectors 68-35. The Gophers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

Florence got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Adrian Taufaasau out in front who went 9 of 13 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds. Taufaasau has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Brody Ramirez, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Florence was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Apache Junction only posted five assists.

Apache Junction's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Roy Nelson, who posted 16 points and three steals, and Biagio Castagnola, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 12 points and five boards.

Florence's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Apache Junction, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Florence will venture away from home to challenge Globe at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Florence knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Globe likes a good challenge. As for Apache Junction, they will host Santa Cruz Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
