The New Waverly Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were beaten by Onalaska 101-60. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat New Waverly has suffered yet this season.
Onalaska's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Patrick Roth, who scored 18 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Roth scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Topkins, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
New Waverly are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14. As for Onalaska, they pushed their record up to 12-14 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
New Waverly will take on Tarkington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tarkington has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 3-1 during that stretch of close contests. As for Onalaska, they will head out on the road to face off against Anderson-Shiro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Anderson-Shiro has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 181 points over their last three matches.
