With a playoff game on the line, the Leonard Lancers rose to the challenge on Monday. They walked away with a 40-29 win over the Wildcats. The win was a breath of fresh air for Leonard as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Leonard found their leader in underclassman Euterria Davis, who scored 23 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least a third of Leonard's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenea D, who scored five points along with seven steals.
Leonard's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Royal Palm Beach, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
Leonard will take on the Broncos at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Palm Beach Central is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Royal Palm Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
