This season hasn't been kind to The Shawnee Indians, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They lost to Kenton on the road by a decisive 28-14 margin on Friday. Shawnee was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kenton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Korbin Johnston looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 91 yards, while also throwing for 240 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.7% of his passes. Colby Howard also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
Kenton's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Seth Leffler and his two sacks.
Shawnee's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. As for Kenton, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Shawnee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kenton is also done with their season.
