The Homedale Trojans lost against the McCall-Donnelly Vandals on January 9th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Homedale took a hard 51-32 fall against McCall-Donnelly. Homedale has not had much luck with McCall-Donnelly recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Homedale still got an impressive performance from Olivia Asumendi, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tiana Sorenson, who scored seven points along with two blocks.
Gabi Green was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 20 points. She hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Izzy Tinney, who scored eight points.
Homedale has been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for McCall-Donnelly, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Homedale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. McCall-Donnelly won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Parma at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. Parma is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
