It was a good run, but Simsboro unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 10-1 to Beekman Charter. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Simsboro of the 14-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2015.

Simsboro saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maximus Lee, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Bryson Yarborough was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Simsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 14-12-1. As for Beekman Charter, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-16 record.

Simsboro and Beekman Charter could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. The Tigers (ranked 214th) will meet Airline (ranked 64th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Beekman Charter will square off against Weston at 5:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (254 vs. 94).
