Lighthouse Christian (Springfield, Mo.) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 13-7 victory over
Tulsa NOAH HomeSchool (Tulsa, Okla.) on Saturday. The Chargers/Eagles took the lead for good when
Josh Brown ran for a touchdown.
The Jaguars pulled ahead on a
Ben Beaver touchdown run, and subsequently went into halftime leading 7-0. The Chargers/Eagles scored the winning points with a touchdown run by Brown that came in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring zero points in the third, Lighthouse Christian still trailed by seven points going into the fourth quarter. But 13 points in the fourth helped LC pull out the victory.
Tulsa NOAH HomeSchool's lone touchdown came on a 5-yard run by Beaver in the first quarter.
The Springfield school avenged last year's 51-36 loss to Tulsa NOAH HomeSchool with the victory.
With the win the Chargers/Eagles extended their winning streak to three games.
In a non-conference game next week Tulsa NOAH HomeSchool (0-1) takes on Metro Christian, and Lighthouse Christian (3-0) will go up against Steelville also in a non-conference game.
