Riggs returns the state's top player in 6-foot-9 forward
Zach Hanson, who was first team All-State and earned Gatorade State Player of the Year honors. He averaged 17.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game in leading Riggs to the Class AA semifinals. He's joined by fellow senior
Lane Severyn (6-5, F), who was a second team All-State player and scored 30 points in the third-place game at last year's Class AA tournament.

4. Roosevelt (Sioux Falls)Head coach: Lee Taylor
2011-12 finish: 15-14, Class AA quarterfinalist
Roosevelt had an up and down season, finishing just above .500 and losing to Brookings 56-47 in the fifth-place game at the state tournament. However, coach Lee Taylor loses just four seniors from last year's group and returns 10 lettermen. Among the regular scorers for Roosevelt last year were
Tyler Howard (6-1, G, Sr),
Jeremiah Clark (5-10, Sr, G) and
Nate Cole (5-9, Sr, G). Roosevelt also has good size with
Lucas Wilber (6-4, Sr, G) and
Brandon Boggs (6-4, Sr, F).

2011-12 finish: 10-12
Watertown finished with a losing record last year, but
Tanner Heiser is a potential first team All-State selection and could lead Watertown into the postseason.
Landen Mack (6-2, G, Sr.) has also reportedly transferred to Watertown after two years at Bishop O'Gorman.
