Whitewright was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tom Bean apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Samantha Lind continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tom Bean, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lind has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Hickman, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Whitewright's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.3 points per game. As for Tom Bean, their victory bumped their record up to 6-15.
Whitewright will be playing in front of their home fans against Trenton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Trenton has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2. As for Tom Bean, they will head out on the road to face off against Sam Rayburn at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sam Rayburn and Tom Bean are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
