Meanwhile, Everett Alvarez fell victim to Monterey and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dores. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Dores recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Dani Amendola spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.
