Watsonville and Everett Alvarez are an even 4-4 against one another  since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Wildcatz will be playing at home against the Eagles  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Watsonville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2  runs per game  this season.
Watsonville not only won  on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win  since March 1st. Everything went their way against Greenfield as they made off with  a  17-1 victory. The Wildcatz haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  win against them.
 Jillian Lerma was a standout: she went 3-for-2 with four  runs, three  RBI,  and two  doubles.  Esperanza ?Anza? Sigala was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with two  triples, four  RBI,  and one  run.
 Watsonville  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .618. The last time their  OBP was this high was  back in March.
Meanwhile, Everett Alvarez fell victim to Monterey and their airtight pitching crew  on Friday. They took  a  4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dores. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Dores recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
 Dani Amendola spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four  runs (all of which were unearned)  on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 14 consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Everett Alvarez saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Amaris Perez, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base. Perez has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played.
 Everett Alvarez's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Watsonville, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.
Everett Alvarez's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Watsonville hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .337. It's a different story for Everett Alvarez, though, as  they've  only  averaged .258. Will they be able to contain Watsonville's hitters?
