Elizabeth came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 17-1 margin over the Hathaway Hornets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-0 on Saturday.

Elizabeth's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Hathaway, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elizabeth will face off against Evans at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Elizabeth's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Evans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hathaway, they will take on Reeves at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
